The Ohio Academy of History is a professional society bringing together teachers, scholars, public historians, and students interested in all fields of history.
The Ohio Academy of History is made up of amateur and professional historians from universities, colleges, high schools, elementary schools, and the general public. It issues awards for outstanding publication, teaching, service, dissertations, and public history. It also monitors and comments on the dissemination of historical knowledge in Ohio's schools, colleges, and universities. In the fall, members of the Academy gather for a social hour and dinner, followed by a panel presentation or speaker. The Academy holds its annual business meeting during the spring accompanied by scholarly sessions on topics of historical interest. Membership Form (in pdf format. You will need Adobe Acrobat reader.
