Workshop Information for Teachers

A Workshop on Historical Literacy is being offered on Saturday morning. Teachers who wish to attend this workshop may pre-register for this event for $30 using either the paper or on-line registration form found at: Teachers who pre-register are invited to attend the continental breakfast that morning. On-site registration will also be available for $30, but on-site, same day registration does not include the breakfast.

Teachers are encouraged to register for the entire conference, which includes Friday afternoon and evening events such as paper and panel sessions, the Distinguished Historian lecture by Dr. Timothy Gregory of Ohio State University, and a late evening film screening. On Saturday, those who register for the entire conference may enjoy the continental breakfast, the historical literacy workshop, paper panel sessions, lunch and the Ohio Academy of History Presidential Address. The cost of pre-registering for the entire conference is $55. Pre-registration (both paper and on-line) closes March 16 at 5 PM. Limited on-site registration for the entire conference will be available for $65.

The University of Dayton is offering one graduate workshop credit to those teachers who attend the conference. The cost of this workshop credit is $175. Registration for the workshop credit will take place in the second floor lobby of the Kennedy Union (co-located with conference registration) on Friday afternoon or on Saturday morning. You may pay for the workshop on-site with a personal check, or you may allow the University to bill you after the workshop. Conference registration and workshop registration are two different processes.
